Ian McGhie

Senior Vice President & Chief Operating Officer

Ian McGhie joined WMS when it was in its startup phase in 2005. With 21 years of telecommunications experience, Ian has an extensive background with wireless networking in a maritime environment including designing and deploying innovative network solutions. Before joining WMS, Ian served as a senior engineering consultant where he was responsible for network design and commissioning for major cellular operators nationwide. Spanning a broad spectrum of technologies, Ian has many years’ of experience in propagation modeling, planning, optimization, and VSAT connectivity for wireless networks around the world. Ian holds a Bachelor of Science in Telecommunications Management and currently resides in Miramar, FL. with his wife Melissa.
